Plasticreate offers a plastic collection service in the city limits of Bellingham, WA. This organization provides a plastic donation drop-off bin that collects plastic from residences in the city. We are able to recycle two kinds of plastic; HDPE or #2, as well as PP or #5. The reason for these two types of plastic is because of their ability to be molded easier than other kinds of plastic, their similar melting temperatures, and their durability. Any #2 or #5 plastic collected by this organization can and will be repurposed into benches designed for public use. We would prefer if the plastic is cleaned of any grease, dirt, detergents, food, etc. before we collect. This saves us a major step in the process of recycling.
