About
PlastiCreate is a small, independently-owned non-profit in Bellingham, WA that creates new products from recycled consumer waste plastic. In just about every aspect of our lives, whether buying groceries, takeout, or any type of product that requires packaging, plastic has become almost unavoidable. In this age of consumerism, we are seeing a large portion of the plastic we buy ending up in landfills and in natural ecosystems such as forests, rivers, and oceans. A very small percentage of plastic that we typically recycle actually gets turned into new material, while most of it is discarded and ends up causing more environmental destruction. This organization is dedicated to cleaning up natural habitats and creating a more sustainable approach to recycling, by breaking down consumer waste and re-molding it into new materials.
